Most of it goes to the county landfill or transfer station. Metal and cardboard get separated, and fridges and freezers go to the scrap yard where the refrigerant is recovered. On cleanouts, usable items get set aside case by case, usually for Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Rob doesn't claim a recycling percentage he can't prove.
No. Rob doesn't take paint, solvents, oil, propane, pool chemicals or batteries. Polk County residents can drop household hazardous waste free at the county's collection facility at the North Central Landfill in Winter Haven (Polk County Solid Waste). Leave it off the pile and the rest goes.
