Hot Tub Removal, Central Florida

Most hot tub removal in Central Florida goes like this: two guys with a Sawzall, an afternoon of fiberglass dust in your lanai, and a pile of pieces. Rob does it differently. The crew brings the stand-on mini skid steer, gets forks or straps under the shell, lifts the whole tub and sets it on the trailer in one piece. No cutting, no dust, no shards in the pool deck for the next year.

Two things have to be true. First, the tub has to be drained; pull the plug the day before and let it run out, because the crew won't pump a full tub. Second, the mini has to be able to reach it. It's narrow, and it fits through most gates and lanai openings, but not every one. Send Rob a photo of the tub and a photo of the path from the driveway to it, with the gate in frame. If the machine can't get there, he tells you on the phone and you haven't spent anything.

Cover, steps, the pump pack and the cabinet panels go on the trailer with it. Swim spas and big eight-person tubs are heavier and Rob wants to see them first. Where the tub sits on a raised deck, the deck may have to come out with it; that's a demolition conversation and Rob quotes it as one job.
