Loughman is the stretch of northeast Polk County between Davenport and ChampionsGate, along Ronald Reagan Parkway and US-17-92. It's unincorporated, which is why the addresses say Davenport but the census calls it Loughman, population about 5,400 and climbing. Twenty years ago it was mostly pasture and a few older homes on big lots. Now subdivisions like Deer Run Estates, Grand Reserve and Heritage Pass line the parkway, and there's still a rural strip of older houses and acreage in between.

Ronald Reagan Parkway was Loughman Road, County Road 54, until it was renamed around 2000. It runs east to the Poinciana Parkway and west to US-27, which puts Loughman on the way to almost everything Rob does. Proximity to Disney drove the growth, and a share of the newer homes are vacation rentals.

The older lots along the parkway bring a different call: a shed to take apart, a brush pile from clearing a fence line, a barn's worth of stuff before a sale. Both kinds fit the dump trailer, and both are ten minutes from the yard.
