Sheds die slowly. The door stops closing, the floor goes soft, the roof leaks onto whatever's still in there. Then a storm comes through and it's done. If the shed is already down, that works too. Francis called about a disassembled shed and the crew came the same day and took care of it. Under most sheds is a slab, a paver base or nothing. Rob can leave the slab if you're putting something new on it, or break it up so you get grass back. Broken concrete doesn't ride in the dump trailer; Rob partners with dump trucks and recyclers to haul it and quotes that part per job. Before demo day, get the power to the shed shut off and anything you're keeping moved out.

Do I have to empty the shed first?
No. If it's full, the crew clears it, then takes the shed down. Point at what you're keeping. Everything else goes on the trailer. It's the same flat quote either way; Rob just needs to see photos of what's inside.
Can you remove the concrete slab under the shed?
Yes. The skid steer breaks it up on site, and the pieces go out through Rob's dump-truck and recycler partners, quoted per job, because concrete doesn't ride in the dump trailers. If you're putting a new shed on the same pad, Rob leaves it. Tell him which when you book.
What if the shed is old with siding I'm not sure about?
If it's pre-1980 and you're unsure, get it tested first. Asbestos siding and lead paint are a licensed abatement job, not a hauler's. Metal, resin and newer wood sheds don't have that problem.
Do I need a permit to remove a shed?
Sometimes, depending on size and where you live. Check with your city or the Polk County building department. Rob will tell you if yours looks like the kind that usually needs one.
