Interior Demolition in Central Florida

Interior demo is the part of a remodel nobody wants to do twice. Somebody has to pull the ceiling, the wet drywall, the tile, the old cabinets, and then somebody has to get it all out of the house. Rob's crew does both halves in one visit: the tear-out and the haul. The dump trailer sits in the driveway while they work and leaves full.

The garage in the photos is a typical one. The ceiling drywall had been soaked and sagging, so the crew dropped it along with the insulation, down to the trusses, then pulled the damaged wall board where it met the floor. Two ladders, a few hours, and the floor was ankle-deep in board and paper. Then it all went out the garage door into the trailer, the slab got swept, and the electrician had a clean room to start in the next morning.

Rob's crew handles the non-structural work: drywall, plaster, ceilings, insulation, tile, laminate, carpet and pad, cabinets, countertops, vanities, tubs, toilets, shelving and trim. Load-bearing walls stay put unless an engineer has signed off and a licensed contractor is running the job. Power and water to anything being removed get shut off by your electrician or plumber first. Rob will tell you which is which on the walkthrough.

Houses built before 1980 can have asbestos in ceiling texture, floor tile and mastic, and lead in old paint. If yours is that age and hasn't been tested, get it tested before demo. That's a licensed abatement job when it comes back positive, and Rob won't cut into it. Everything else is a normal day.
