Concrete Removal in Central Florida

Concrete doesn't go on the curb and it doesn't go in a bag. When a driveway heaves, a patio cracks past patching, or a shed slab is sitting in the middle of where you want grass, the only way out is to break it and haul it. Rachel had Big Rob's remove her concrete driveway along with a shed. She wrote that the crew cleaned up great and gave her just what she asked for.

The skid steer does the heavy lifting here. A breaker or bucket cracks the slab into pieces the size of a laptop, the grapple loads them, and the trailer hauls them. A single-car driveway is a morning. A pool deck with rebar takes longer because the mesh has to be cut. Rob looks at thickness, square footage and whether there's rebar or wire, then quotes it.

Here's the part that's different from junk removal. Concrete is too heavy for the dump trailers, so it never goes in one. Rob partners with dump trucks and recyclers who haul the broken slab where it can be crushed and reused, and he quotes that haul with the breaking as one per-job number. Same with dirt, if the job turns up a lot of it. Once the slab is out, you've got bare ground, ready for sod, pavers or a new pour.

Some concrete jobs come with a deadline from the city. One commercial owner called at 7:30 in the evening with a code notice on a sign footing: the post had to be out, and soon. Rob brought the mini out that night, cut and chipped the footing loose with a concrete saw between two sprinkler heads, and had it finished by midnight without tearing up the irrigation.
