Hillside lots in the Hills of Minneola

Minneola is the one town on Rob's map with real hills, up to about 312 feet, and the Hills of Minneola master plan is filling them with Del Webb, Lennar, Meritage and Dream Finders phases. Between the finished streets are lots that are still scrub and oak, and homeowners a year in who want the sloped back of the lot opened up. Brush on a slope is miserable to cut by hand and worse to drag uphill. The grapple does it in passes.

Tracks matter here more than anywhere else. The Kubota runs on rubber tracks that hold on a grade where a wheeled machine slides, so Rob works across the slope, piles the brush at the low side, and loads it straight into the trailer. Small trees come out root ball and all. Light leveling with the bucket cuts a flat spot for a shed or a play set. Building a real terrace or moving fill is a site contractor's job, and dirt is quoted separately through partner dump trucks anyway.

The old town near Lake Minneola

Down the hill, the older Minneola is block homes near the lake and the trail. Those lots have the standard call: a fence line gone to vines, a hedge tear-out, a pile of storm limbs. The stand-on mini fits through a standard gate and is easier on a small lawn than the full-size machine. Either way the debris leaves in the dump trailer the same visit. Sloped driveways are the local wrinkle; Rob picks a level spot for the trailer before the machine comes off it.

Scheduling Minneola from Davenport

Minneola is 33 road miles and about 47 minutes up US-27 through Four Corners and Clermont. Rob schedules it, usually next day or the day after, grouped with Clermont and Groveland, with the machine and trailer on one trip. He quotes flat from photos and a walkaround video: $350 for a half trailer of debris, $700 for a full, skid steer time in the number. A video that shows the slope helps him pick the right machine.
