Before demo day, know your property line and tell your neighbor if the fence is shared. Timing matters if a new fence is going in. Schedule Rob a day or two ahead of the installer so the line is bare when they arrive, and there's no old fence sitting in the yard between the two visits. If a gate or a good section is worth keeping, point it out and the crew works around it. Everything else leaves on the trailer the same day.

The other way a fence job starts is a red tag. A section blows down, the boards sit in the yard for a few weeks, and the county's code officer leaves a notice with a date on it.
