Lot Cleanouts, Central Florida

A vacant lot collects things. Tires, a mattress, somebody's remodel debris, then a tarp and a shopping cart. Then the county sends a letter with a deadline. Rob's crew clears it: everything that isn't dirt or a tree you want to keep goes into the trailers, the ground gets pushed level, and you get photos of every stage to send back with the notice.

The Lakeland job is the one in the photos. A wooded lot behind a subdivision wall had been an unofficial campsite for a long time: plywood shelters, tarps strung between trees, bedding, a shopping cart, tires, a small refrigerator, and years of trash spread through the brush. The parcel is about ten acres, and the trash ran the full length of the front line. The crew worked it over three days in May 2026 with a Kubota excavator making piles, the mini skid steer feeding the trailers, and two dump trailers running to the landfill; roughly 138 yards of debris left the property. By the third afternoon the lot was bare, graded dirt, with the old pavilion frame the owner wanted left standing still there, and the shed floor undamaged.

If the letter is from code enforcement, send Rob a photo of it. A red tag from the county is the most common reason a lot gets cleared at all, and it usually comes with a date. The notice tells him what has to go and by when, and he'll schedule to beat it. If the lot is going on the market, he'll clear it so the listing photos show land, not junk, and leave the trees the survey calls out. Overgrowth, stumps and grading that go beyond the debris are handled with the land clearing crew on the same visit.

Illegally dumped material is the one to be careful with. Shingles, drywall and furniture load fine. Drums, paint, chemicals and anything that smells wrong get flagged, photographed and left for the county's hazardous waste program, and Rob tells you before the crew touches it. Everything else rides in the trailers.
